IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT!!!!! There will be no weight pull seminar at 5:30pm or fun pull event at 6:00pm on Friday 11/9/07. The APA is very fortunate to have over 100 dogs qualify for their National pull and will therefore be utilizing all of the available flat concrete areas at the show site. They will be exceedingly busy on Friday with setups, and we cannot disturb them for a fun non-sanctioned event. If there is a cart/track available still on Sunday morning, we would love to add this event back in. However, this does not seem likely. The Gateway American Bulldog Group is very sorry for this inconvenience and hope that we have still provided many other events for everyone to enjoy!

First ever Bulldog Chili Cookoff!!! |

WHO: Everyone, ABNA show-goers and APA pullers, is invited to participate in the first ever Bulldog Chili Cookoff to benefit Mutts-n-Stuff, an all breed rescue in St. Louis that specializes in bully breeds. www.muttsandstuff.com WHERE: At the upper show tent! WHEN: Saturday November 10th, Purina Farms will close concessions in the late afternoon and we will set up our Chili Cookoff tables at around 4:30pm for the dinner hours. HOW: Pre-make your best pot of Chili and freeze it. Bring it with you to the show - along with an electrical warmer (Crock Pot) and a ladle for serving. We'll plug everything in, warm it up & serve up a fabulous dinner! (Bowls, spoons, crackers, cheese & mac will be provided by the show hosts and Founders Mortgage.) Every dinner guest will also receive a ticket to "vote" for their favorite recipe. COST: $5 per person for an "unlimited" bowl of chili - proceeds to benefit our rescued bully breeds! Host hotel, the Diamond Inn, has confirmed a $59/nt room rate with a pet fee of $10/nt or $25/length of stay. This hotel is only 1 mile from the show site with ground level entry rooms and a grooming/bathing area indoors just for the dogs. Rate also includes breakfast. Trophies this year will be Texas-style custom blingy belt buckles!! They can be attached to a belt and worn, or they come in a nice gift box and can be displayed or framed to go on your wall at home. Trophy sponsors are needed - please see the website Finally got confirmation that Blackjack's Leather has put this show on his calendar! I would love to have more (non-food) vendors, so please contact me if you have something to sell. Hope that is enough information for now to entice you to put this show on your calendars!
